LinkedIn Profile Optimization Guide
This document contains specific, actionable changes to make to your LinkedIn profile to position yourself as a Senior AI Engineer / Lead AI Engineer for job hunting.
1. Headline
Current:
Helping Engineers Build Scalable AI Agents – And You Can Too!
Problem: This reads as a content-creator / influencer headline. Recruiters search by role + skill clusters, not taglines. It will not surface in recruiter searches for "Senior AI Engineer" or "Lead AI Engineer."
Change to:
Senior AI Engineer | AI Agent Platforms, RAG Systems & Multi-Agent Architectures | LangChain, LangGraph, Azure OpenAI
Why: Hits three recruiter search patterns simultaneously -- job title, domain expertise, and specific technologies. LinkedIn search gives heavy weight to headline keywords.
2. About / Summary Section
Current problems:
- Leads with "13 years of experience as a Lead Engineer and AI Advocate" -- buries the AI story
- AI Platform work (guardrails, evaluations, orchestration, prompt management) is completely absent
- Reads more like a content-creator bio than an engineer looking for a role
- Too generic -- doesn't mention specific production systems you built
Replace the entire About section with:
Senior AI Engineer with 2.5+ years building production AI agent systems and enterprise AI platforms, on top of 13+ years of backend and distributed systems experience.
I build AI systems that ship to production and handle real workloads:
AI Agent Platform -- Architected an enterprise platform where all AI agents live together: centralized LLM model access, guardrails and policies, tool integration, prompt management, dataset management, online/offline evaluations, MLflow-based observability, cost tracking, and an agent orchestration layer with API-based interface.
AI-Powered Automation -- Built a production multi-agent system that converts unstructured email booking requests into structured data using RAG, agentic workflows, human-in-the-loop review, and observability -- used in daily operations.
Cloud-Native Platforms -- Designed serverless application platforms on Azure/Kubernetes, built shared CI/CD pipelines adopted across multiple teams, and led cloud-native adoption at enterprise scale.
Core expertise: LangChain, LangGraph, Agno, RAG pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, guardrails/safety, LLM evaluations, MLflow, Azure OpenAI, FastAPI, Python, Kubernetes, Terraform.
I also create educational AI content on YouTube and Instagram (@aiinsight.ai) to help engineers upskill in practical AI engineering.
Open to Senior AI Engineer and Lead AI Engineer opportunities.

3. Experience Section -- Maersk (Lead Engineer)
Current problems:
- AI Platform work is completely missing
- Email booking system description has a typo ("Agent Memor")
- Cloud platform bullets appear first, pushing AI work down
- Bullet ordering makes it look like a DevOps/Platform role
Replace Maersk bullets with (in this exact order):
AI Agent Platform
- Architected and built an enterprise AI agent platform providing centralized LLM model access, guardrails, policies, and tool integration for multiple AI agents across the organization
- Implemented prompt management and dataset management systems with online and offline evaluation pipelines
- Integrated MLflow for end-to-end observability, cost tracking, and experiment management across all platform agents
- Designed an agent orchestration layer with API-based interface for standardized agent deployment and lifecycle management
- Established guardrail policies for responsible AI usage, including content filtering, input/output validation, and usage controls
AI-Powered Email Booking Automation
- Built a production AI system that converts unstructured email booking requests into structured booking data using Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Agno (multi-agent LLM framework), and RAG-based enrichment from internal knowledge bases
- Implemented human-in-the-loop review workflow with observability and per-booking cost tracking, used in daily production operations
- Applied prompt and context engineering to extract structured data from diverse email formats with high accuracy
Cloud-Native Platform
- Designed and implemented cloud-native serverless application platform using Knative, Azure, GitHub Actions, Helm, and Terraform
- Developed reusable CI/CD GitHub pipelines and Infrastructure as Code templates adopted across multiple teams
4. Skills Section
Add these skills (and pin the top 3):
Pin these at the top:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- AI Agents
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Add these:
- Multi-Agent Systems
- LangChain
- LangGraph
- Prompt Engineering
- LLMOps
- MLflow
- Python
- FastAPI
- Vector Databases
- Guardrails
- Azure OpenAI
- AI Platform Engineering
Remove or de-prioritize: "Coaching" is currently listed as a top skill -- replace it with an AI-related skill.
5. Featured Section
Add these to Featured (in order):
- A post or article describing the AI Agent Platform you built (write one if you haven't -- this is your single strongest differentiator)
- A demo video or walkthrough of the email booking automation system
- Your best AI engineering blog post or YouTube video
If you haven't written about the AI Platform yet, write a LinkedIn post titled something like: "How I Built an Enterprise AI Agent Platform: Guardrails, Evaluations, and Agent Orchestration at Scale" -- this will generate engagement and serve as a portfolio piece for recruiters.
6. Certifications Section
Verify all these are listed on LinkedIn:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals
- AI Agents in LangGraph
- LangChain for LLM Application Development
- LangChain Chat with Your Data
- Multi-AI Agent Systems with CrewAI
These are already in your profile PDF but double-check they are all visible and current.
7. Top Skills (Profile Header)
Current top skills: Coaching, Architecture, Mentoring
Change to: Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, RAG
These appear directly under your name and are the first thing recruiters see.
8. LinkedIn Premium Strategy
Why Get Premium Career (during active job search)
| Feature | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Top Applicant badges | See which jobs you are a top applicant for (43% higher hear-back rate) |
| InMail credits (5/month) | Directly message hiring managers and recruiters at target companies |
| Who viewed your profile (full list) | See all profile viewers, follow up with recruiters who viewed you |
| AI-powered job match scores | See how well you match each role before applying |
| Salary insights | Know the range before negotiating |
| Applicant count filter | Use "Under 10 Applicants" to apply early to fresh postings |
Tactical Approach with Premium
Job Alerts (set these 3):
- "Senior AI Engineer" -- Copenhagen / Denmark
- "Lead AI Engineer" OR "Lead LLM Engineer" -- Denmark / Remote
- "AI Engineer" -- Remote Europe
Daily routine (15 min/day):
- Check new jobs matching your alerts
- Apply to any with "Under 10 Applicants" immediately
- Comment on 2-3 posts from AI engineering leaders (builds algorithmic visibility)
- Check "Who viewed your profile" -- follow up with any recruiters
InMail outreach (for the 6 target jobs):
- Find the hiring manager or team lead for each role on LinkedIn
- Send a concise InMail: introduce yourself, mention a specific detail from the JD, link to your profile
- Template: "Hi [Name], I saw [Company] is hiring for [Role]. I've spent the last 2.5 years building production AI agent systems and an enterprise AI platform at Maersk -- [specific thing that maps to their JD]. I'd love to chat about the role. Here is my profile: [link]"
Content engagement (boost visibility):
- Share 1 post per week about something you learned building AI agents or the AI platform
- Comment thoughtfully on posts from people at your target companies
- LinkedIn's algorithm favors active profiles -- recruiters see engaged profiles more often
9. Profile Photo & Banner
- Photo: Use a professional headshot (if current one is good, keep it)
- Banner: Create a custom banner that says something like "Senior AI Engineer | Building Production AI Agent Systems" with a subtle tech/AI visual. Canva has free LinkedIn banner templates. This reinforces your positioning the moment someone lands on your profile.
10. Activity & Content Strategy
Your "AI Advocate" role and YouTube/Instagram presence is a strength -- but reframe it during job search:
- Position yourself as a practitioner who also teaches, not a teacher who also codes
- When you share content, always tie it back to production experience: "Here's how I solved X in production" rather than "Here's a tutorial on X"
- Write about: guardrails in production, evaluation pipelines, cost tracking for LLM apps, agent orchestration patterns -- these are the topics your target JDs care about
Summary Checklist
- Update headline to role + skills format
- Rewrite About section with AI Platform and production focus
